
At Backcountry Wellness, we offer a seasonal approach to outdoor therapy. Each program includes an introductory meet-and-greet with both the teen and their family, an outdoor adventure with nutritious meals provided, and focused one-on-one counselling sessions. Choose a season that best fits your schedule and interests!
Please note that transportation to and from outdoor activities is not provided.
Summer Adventure Program
Meet & Greet:
Introductions, setting goals, and addressing initial concerns.
Outdoor Activity:
Season-based outdoor excersion with nutritious meals provided.
One-on-One Counseling:
Private, individual counseling sessions.
Example Summer Outdoor Activity
After gathering at the waterbody put-in location for introductions, the group will embark on a guided kayak or paddleboard journey through scenic waters. After the adventure, everyone will come together to prepare a wholesome meal and refreshing drinks. To wrap up the experience, Geoff will lead an engaging life coaching session followed by a group reflection before packing up.


Fall Adventure Program

Example Fall Outdoor Activity
After a group briefing at the trailhead, participants will set out on a guided hike or bike ride to a stunning scenic spot. Once there, everyone will come together to prepare a nourishing meal and refreshing drinks. Geoff will then lead a thoughtful group reflection on the perceived benefits of spending the day actively immersed in nature. Afterward, the group will wrap up and make their way back to the trailhead.
Winter Adventure Program

One-on-One Counseling:
Private, individual counseling sessions.
Example Winter Outdoor Activity
After a brief overview of the day's activities, the group will embark on a guided snowshoe journey through the winter landscape, leading to a cozy cabin where they'll gather around a campfire they built. After the adventure, everyone will work together to prepare a hearty meal and warm drinks. To conclude the experience, Geoff will lead an insightful life coaching session before packing up and heading back.

Once there, everyone will come together to prepare a nourishing meal and warm, revitalizing drinks. To conclude the experience, Geoff will lead an insightful life coaching session followed by a meaningful group discussion before packing up and returning to the trailhead.
